The beauty of
the temple
Uncover the architecture features of the temple.

Overview
Che Kung Temple is a single building with a gable and hip roof for the Main Hall. It consists of 1 – Jin, one courtyard only; and a 7-Jian Main Hall.
The temple is basically built of concrete, and paint in different colors, mainly red and black for the body part. While some parts of the building, like the doors and the stairs are built of wood.
Inside the Main Hall, there are two small halls (Dian) – Fu Lu Gong (福祿宮), and Yuan Chen Dian(元辰殿).

It has a front gate with two stone lions outside the temple.
And there are two side doors, located behind the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower respectively. The side door behind the Drum Tower is open for use while the other one is closed .
A De Fu Ci(德褔祠)is located not far from the front gate.




Other
components
A pavilion called BaiTing(拜亭), which is a newly added in the new Che Kung Temple, located in front of the Main Hall for worshipers to make incense offering.
There are the Bell Tower and Drum Tower in the side parts of the temple. In the old time, the Bell and Drum Tower is used for time telling. People will ring the bell in the morning and hit the drum in the evening (晨鐘暮鼓). In a temple, the bells and drums serve as a mean of communication between people and the deities, with their sound symbolizing our respect and thoughts.
The Bell Tower often build in the East side, sometimes the North; and the Drum Tower often build in the West side, sometimes the South. Or they can combine to one building.
And there are Chinese Fortune Sticks Solving stalls along the cloister
